About Her Ice: The Heartbeat of Women's Hockey.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I grew up playing street hockey in my cul-de-sac and watching the Thunder at Thomas & Mack, wishing there were a women's league I could actually picture myself playing in someday. Years later, I finally got to play in an adult league, until an injury cut it short. The league I wished for didn't exist when I was growing up. Now it does, and a generation of young women gets to grow up with the option I never had: a professional path in the sport I love.

I spent 15 years in marketing, advertising, and technology, most recently running my own company, Schaefer. That's what I bring to Her Ice. Her Ice exists to grow the women's game and the community around it, and to give the people building this league the visibility they've earned. That means talking with players and staff, covering games and events, and writing for the young players, parents, and fans who make up that community.

Off the ice, home is still Las Vegas, with my wife, our four cats, and two dogs.
