PWHL San Jose’s first team identity will begin taking shape at training camp, with a roster that blends returning PWHL players and prospects ahead of the 2026-27 season. Two preseason scrimmages against the Seattle Torrent will precede the Dec. 5 home opener against the Minnesota Frost at SAP Center.
Who’s coming to camp
The camp roster includes 17 forwards, nine defenders and three goaltenders. Eighteen players are already signed for the upcoming season, and 15 were members of PWHL teams during 2025-26.
Among the signed forwards are Natálie Mlýnková, Kristin O’Neill, Maggie Connors and Anne Cherkowski. The defensive group includes signed players Laila Edwards, Rory Guilday, Hadley Hartmetz, Mariah Keopple and Daniela Pejšová. All three goaltenders, Tia Chan, Abbey Levy and Corinne Schroeder, are signed for 2026-27.
The roster also includes 2026 PWHL Draft selections Reichen Kirchmair, Sloane Matthews, Lily Shannon, Mckenna Van Gelder, Edwards and Chan.
Building an identity
We’re incredibly excited to get this group together and officially get to work. Training camp gives our staff the opportunity to see the compete level, skill and personality of our players firsthand, while beginning to build the identity of this team,
Troy Ryan, PWHL San Jose General Manager and Head Coach
For Ryan and his staff, camp will be an opportunity to establish standards and develop the new group’s style of play.
