PWHL Las Vegas revealed its inaugural home and away jerseys on Oct. 8, 59 days before the team's debut on Dec. 6 at T-Mobile Arena. Opponent: PWHL Detroit, in the league's first all-expansion matchup of the new season.

VEGAS across the chest

The front of each sweater reads VEGAS, stitched diagonally. It is the name locals use for the place they call home, and it follows the debut-season tradition the league has kept across its first eight teams.

The rest of the expansion class

Las Vegas did not unveil alone. Detroit, Hamilton and San Jose revealed their inaugural jerseys the same day, each with the city name across the front and a palette drawn from home.

Detroit's black home jersey has silver metallic accents, plus white, silver and red stripes that call back to the 313 area code. Hamilton's gold home jersey carries burnt orange and deep red accents that evoke forging and rusted steel, with a nod to the Tiger-Cats, Bulldogs and Tigers uniforms. San Jose leads with mandarin orange and sky blue accents, which the league says is the first time Bauer has made mandarin orange a team's primary color.

The schedule adds some drama. Vegas debuts its home greens on Dec. 6 against Detroit, whose white away jerseys make their first appearance that same night in Las Vegas. Hamilton and San Jose open a day earlier, on Dec. 5.

Built from the desert

The whole palette starts with the landscape. The team says the colors were inspired by the natural scenery of Southern Nevada, and each one has a job.

Green leads on the home jerseys and reflects the beauty of the desert valley. The gold is where the design gets its personality. It is a custom accent color created especially for PWHL Las Vegas, meant to evoke the sparkle of the desert sun. A shade made for one team belongs to that team alone. Navy stripes round it out with a strong contrast, a nod to the desert at night.

Read together, the three colors run from sunlight to nightfall over the valley floor, which suits a city known for what happens after dark.

Forward Hayley Scamurra said she loves how the jerseys capture Vegas's energy, and she singled out the pop of gold. Then she added her own take on what the jersey means to her.

I cannot wait to represent the Vegas community with these jerseys!

A first-year original

All four expansion teams will reveal their names and logos before the 2026-27 season begins, and those identities will appear on the on-ice uniforms in 2027-28. That makes this design the one that goes with the inaugural season, the one worn when the franchise plays its very first game.

Amy Scheer, the PWHL's executive vice president of business operations, said the unveil is another milestone for fans who have embraced the team from day one, and that it carries forward the tradition of putting the city name first in a team's debut year. Bauer, the league's official jersey partner, produced them with breathable, durable fabrics and a tailored fit built for mobility.
